Chronic Benefit Policy

PRODUCT SPECIFICATION

• Underwritten by Compass Insurance Company Limited
• Designed to be marketed to corporate clients on a compulsory basis, minimum members of 100
• Offers cover for defined conditions by way of paying the insured a fixed monthly benefit. The Policy is designed for the corporate clients who have elected a medical scheme option which does not offer any chronic benefits (or perhaps offers low chronic benefits)
• The Policy may be adapted to offer different levels of cover depending on the client size
• The cover presently offered (R11 000 per family per annum) is rated at R100.00 per family per month
• Underwriters will pay the stated monthly benefit per category for each of the defined Chronic conditions occuring during the certificate period, to the Insured person, their Spouse or an eligible dependent subject to the following monthly benefits:

• The medication for the defined chronic condition must be prescribed by a Medical Practitioner
